What happens during IPL treatment?

During IPL treatments at Celebrity Medi Spa, your provider cleans your skin and numbs it to ensure optimal comfort. They give you eye protection and apply a cold gel to the treatment area. 

Your provider uses a handheld device to deliver light energy to targeted tissues. You may feel a rubber band snapping sensation during treatment, which can last about 15-30 minutes or longer. 

What can I expect afterward?

Common side effects after IPL treatment may include redness and minor swelling that can last a few hours. Pigmented skin may darken initially, but will eventually flake off. Keep your skin protected from the sun before and after IPL treatment.
